More December

We really didn't get out much in December. I like to try to do some fun stuff with the kids, but it wasn't happening. This last pregnancy and delivery took more out of me than I anticipated and things were slow-moving for quite some time. Small things were major accomplishments. Things turned around slowly, but there are things that haven't been normal for quite some time. Rather, we have a new normal. Spencer still makes dinner most nights. I don't at around doing nothing, by any means, but I am still working at shifting back. It's coming. This time has just been different.

Chris' first Joann's trip!

Last winter we were overcome with ladybugs! I never did get a picture of the hoards of ladybugs on our outer walls. Apparently they will gather in warm areas. Sun-facing walls. They got inside and the girls loved them. Occasionally they would unwittingly torture these nice bugs.

I like having felt cutouts for the kids. They like playing with them! I keep meaning to make some for songs. Just need to sit down and do it. Always another project to do.

A Christmas tree in front of a government building here in Plainfield!

More experimenting with clothes.

Paint!

More beautiful baby. I loved being able to find time just to hold Chris. Our babies do not stay long in the stage of sleeping in our arms. I was able to take advantage several times!

And just to prove that all babies have ugly baby moments, too. But still so cute!

Beautiful Jane.

Still sleeping in the family room at a month-and-a-half.

“Reading” her favorite book.

First ponytail!

Still a shorty, but looking so grown up.

First smiles on camera!

This is how I caught Anne washing her hands one day. Balancing on her belly!

More sharing with Chris.

All with such great smiles! Just missing a napping Jane.

So peaceful.
