Me: "Because he's a doctor.  What do you think Dad is called at work?"
Anne: "Doctor Daddy!"

Anne: “I can't believe that I'm a doctor. And I'm a good doctor!”

Talking about a friend coming to watch the girls for me:

Me: "Janie's appointment is this afternoon and we will all go to that. I have an appointment just for me this morning."

Lilia: "You're getting PREGnant?!"

Me: "No, Lilia, no I'm not getting pregnant."

*for the record, that was an excited question. The kids have been asking me since (not very long) after Jane was born if I was going to "have another baby in my tummy."
