My dad has provided a lot of mental health disaster relief in the past (Columbine, Louisville flooding, 9-11, Indonesia, plus). While in California visiting my sister and her family with my mom and brother, he got called to go to Haiti. The church put together a team of medical personnel to assess needs, resources, etc. He left Sunday for Ft. Lauderdale via SLC, was rerouted to Miami, flew to Santo Domingo, then rode a bus from to Port-au-Prince where he arrived some time today.
The Deseret News has an article here with some information.
Any prayers are appreciated.

Your family is amazing. Our prayers go out to the people of Haiti and everyone who is helping them.
Wow, our prayers are with him and your family! I read the article, they have a lot of work ahead. If you can, keep us updated.
I am so glad to hear he can go there directly to help. we will be mindful of him and hope he has a safe time. He will be able to help lots of people, I'm sure.
That is so great! He'll be in our prayers.
WOW--I hope everything goes well for him. That's awesome that your family is able to physically help. It would be a very hard thing to witness but such a wonderful thing to know you can help in a visible way.
What a blessing. Praying for his (and everyone's) safety and that the hand of the Lord is on them.
