While grocery shopping this morning I had an older lady approach me and ask: "I know this is none of my business, but are those all your kids?" Of course, I said they were and she said, "I don't know how you do it." After a little chitchat, she ended with saying: "The pope must be very happy with you," to which I responded with a smile and not with: "No doubt he would be if we weren't mormon!"

Ohh! You should have said it! :)
I wish you would've said it! It's not like you are the Duggars. I hope you understand this reference.
love it. you should of said the later : )
Haha! At least your kids look like you ... I still get mistaken as the nanny. :)
That is great, and you only have three. Good Work!!! ;)
It's amazing to see how families sizes are shrinking!
Well, it sure would have been fun to see her reaction!
Mallory, yes, I get the reference! :)
Jennie, I thought the same thing.
that's hilarious. and yes - only three. not 'only' three, but... you know what i mean. imagine if she had seen mom with her eight! (:
Ha! That is so funny! You are a better person than me! I definitely would have said something... I am sure you are too cute with your three kids at the grocery store.
So i just found your blog via Emily's...it's been fun 'catching' up with your life! I can't believe you have 3 kids. you look amazingly happy and you seem like you are a FANTASTIC mom! And, I love your little overheard conversations. My kids are just entering that stage. I may just have to copy!

Oh my gosh. The Pope. How can she make assumptions like that? You are a better person than me, I definitely would have said something.
Love it.
Hahaha! That's great! Sad to think that 3 kids is considered a big family these days - as the oldest of 6, I've been asked if we were Catholic many times (we aren't either). ;o)
However, as a mom of only TWO I completely understand her awe - I don't know how you do it! Even my mom had help by the time #3 came along (I was 6 by then)... I guess the Lord gives us grace to handle only what is needed at the time!
