...we didn't have these two monkeys.
we were living in blissful ignorance of what was to come and enjoying each other immensely! (we still enjoy each other immensely)
if you look closely, you'll see i don't have a wedding band and spencer isn't wearing his wedding ring. and i'm holding different flowers.we took most of our pictures three weeks early - a wonderful idea (not mine originally) - and forgot a few details.
i just think this picture is hilarious. it looks like spencer is either gollum or planning on eating his ring.(for the record, spencer is opposed to this picture being posted. the pose was not his idea.)

I remember that day well! I was thinking Joel and I were such experienced married people because we'd already been married for a week and a half. :)
I also remember well our talks about Spencer's letters from his mission, and how much you hoped it would work out when we got home. Then you sent me a text message telling me you were going on your first date since he'd gotten home. And now you've been married for four years, and have 2 1/2 kids!

Happy anniversary! We are coming up on our 4 year too! Don't worry Spencer -- Gavin has a few poses -that the photographer had him do in our wedding photos - that he is not a fan of... maybe I'll have to post one soon... :)
