the kitchen

here is the kitchen we are so looking forward to enjoying in two-and-a-half weeks. keep in mind that these were the first pictures i ever saw of the house. honestly, i was quite shocked. however, after thinking about it, i really don't care what it looks like because, as you can see in the second picture, there is a dishwasher!!! i haven't had a dishwasher for six of the last seven years. it's time.

if you look closely enough in these last two pictures, you can see the matching sink.

you can't beat the matching drapes!

another blessing. we'll have a dryer!!! i am so excited to not have to line-dry our clothes.

in all seriousness, i am so grateful to have such a wonderful home to live in. there is so much room for the boys to play around. the backyard is completely enclosed. really, everything is wonderful. it really doesn't matter what the refrigerator looks like...as long as it works!

I LOVE the kitchen...you were right! Great colors! We had a great time the other night--thanks for hosting us! We still can get over how mobile and fast Andrew is for his age! OK---and I can't find that google reader thing so I can get updates when people post. Where do I go again? (sorry)

Persistence paid off...I just found the reader thing! It takes a little while to load up but it will pay off in the end!

That house looks really sweet! Those mid-century ramblers have so much more style than the boxes they build now. Those appliances are really cool looking. You might need to sew some new drapes.

Spencer, I'm digging the beard. You look like the Brawny man.

Faith - I really really really love you kitchen. I would trade my black appliances for these in an instant. I love the retro colors and that the stove sink and fridge are all still their in their original matching-ness. Good luck with the move and even more for surviving med school - but you are a tuff girl and I know you'll survive :)
